The Folder

The much anticipated Vepr 12 side-folding stock model is supposed to arrive in the U.S very soon, with some dealers taking down payments on them. It should be noted that there is a catch to getting this model Vepr into the U.S

It’s folding stock is actually welded open, essentially making it a fixed stock. The welds can be removed with a little work; initial photos show only a couple of small spot welds. If you do remove the welds, the Vepr would have to have 922r compliance parts. There are two more notable differences with the incoming folders. They lack the rail on the front sight gas block and they do not have the flash hider.

Snipers with A Company, The Highlanders, 4th Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland, look for insurgents while resting on top of a compound in a small pocket of farmland in the southeastern corner of the district of Nahr-e-Saraj, July 2, during Operation ZMARAY SUK II.
